It was something with wings

PoemLightletting godivine

It was something with wings.
I don’t know where it came from
I didn’t ask for help
Except from the cold fire
Scouring its way through me.

Suddenly, and for no reason, it
Lifted the heaviest portion of me.

I was the cerulean limit of things.
I was the firmament on fire
With gratitude.

The ground was waiting for me,
With all its steadfastness.
But now I didn’t mind the fall.
